The time away wasn't lonely at all went faster than expected. In the process of being in a tiny room, with only my work to focus on, a lot got done...also a lot faster than expected, and that has taught me to simplify my life much more on my return. Also sold a few CD s here and made a lot of friends who are expecting me back. These are simple country folk, of course, very shy and reserved, and not accustomed to live music, so in that respect it was far from an easy job, but when is the last time I had an easy one? But staying in a resort with room service and the job just an elevator ride away from my room definitely lessens the stress of traveling so far, and the view here is pretty incredible. Traditional Japan, just as I envisioned it before coming here the first time. Maybe the enclosed pictures will give a small sense of it...to be included on the next log in. Increased sales and patrons in the lobby and dining area made the management very happy and they're already talking about having me there 5 days a week. It could happen. There's a peace and silence here that will stay with me internally wherever this new year takes me.
